Obstacles in IT/IS

Their are a lot of obstacles that stand in the way of IT/IS. A lot of it actually that's why it is separated into several sectors. It just a matter of what obstacle you want to know. The major divisions I saw were: technical resource problems, physical resource problems, human resource problems, communication problems financial problems, operational problems and psychological problems. Since there's too many I will just list down some of it, focusing a bit more on the technical problems.

a. Need for modern information systems resources.
b. Difficulties in setting up information programme.
c. Data processing difficulties
d. Technical constraints to reproducing or copying documents
e. Decoding statistics collected and the structure of statistical reporting
f. Time factor in the collection and updating of information
g. Need for qualitative aspects of information
h.Need for funds for processing, printing and dissemination of information

From what I read, the barriers of IT/IS are more on data collection and management. Data collection for developing systems are the hardest and most complex part in the whole process. Its the most tedious yet important part because it tells us what the system should be, and what is its scope and limitations.

Financial problems is also a huge obstacle for it gives us a passage to acquire certain resources we need. It can be a problem if we only have limited resources to work with.

Time can also be considered as a barrier since it gives us limitations that we must follow. Such limitations can affect the developing process and the output.

Limited Resources, as mentioned in the financial problem also creates its own obstacle for IT/IS.

well, if walang obstacles to conquer its not fun anymore right. but then to conquer we need to identify what are those barriers para sa development natin na mga IT professionals.. hahaha
